Being unique in a crowded market 🌟

Over the past three years at Licenseware, I’ve learned something crucial: being worse but unique is often better.

As counterintuitive as it sounds, when we decided to build Licenseware, we understood that as newcomers in an already established market, we were going to be the underdogs. That can be a soul-crushing realization, and we almost didn’t start, but we decided not to play by the same rules. We wanted to reinvent the game. So, we’ve built an open app ecosystem for #ITAM that is meant to democratize this space, making it accessible for companies of all sizes and budgets. Modular. Modern. Blazing fast.

We’ve chosen to focus on what sets us apart rather than trying to be a mirror image of well-established players. And this has been our biggest strength.
I won’t lie. We’ve lost potential customers who didn’t want to embrace a new paradigm of innovation and play by our new rules. But for every customer we’ve lost, we’ve gained true fans who see the unique value we bring to the table.

Even better than being unique is to be extreme in our uniqueness. We’re not afraid to carve out our own path. Not just a simple UX, so simple that even people outside of #ITAM get it. Not just a great UI, so stunning that it’s the first thing that everyone mentioned to us (almost always) after first seeing the product. Not just a fast tool, so fast that some people don’t believe our demos until they try it themselves. Not just a satisfactory analysis, but one so exceptional that experts scrutinize it, actively looking for errors.

Our uniqueness is your greatest asset. We leverage it. We own it.

“Licenseware isn’t just fast and efficient – it’s revolutionary.” (quote from one of our happy customers) đź’™
