Microsoft Product Terms update for July 2023

Microsoft has released an update to its Product Terms for July 2023. The update includes a number of changes, including:

  • New specializations for Solutions Partners in the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program. Microsoft has added new specializations to the Business Applications, Digital and App Innovation, and Data and AI solution areas. These specializations will help partners to demonstrate their expertise in specific areas and to differentiate themselves from the competition.
  • Renamed specialization. Microsoft has renamed the “Modernization of Web Applications with Microsoft Azure” specialization to “Migrate Enterprise Applications to Microsoft Azure.” This change reflects the fact that the specialization is now focused on helping partners to migrate their customers’ on-premises applications to Azure.
  • Updates to the licensing terms for Microsoft 365. Microsoft has updated the licensing terms for Microsoft 365 to clarify how the product can be used in certain scenarios. For example, the updated terms now state that Microsoft 365 can be used to provide remote access to employees who are working from home.
  • Other changes. The July 2023 update to the Microsoft Product Terms also includes a number of other changes, such as updates to the terms for the Microsoft Partner Network and the Microsoft Cloud Customer Agreement.
